Tie me up ... isn’t that rather the point of perfume?

ATTACHE MOI

Tie me up, do not let me go. Tie me up and never let go.

Tie me up with your scent, let me forsake you not. Tie me up on your skin.

Tie me up in thoughts.

Tie the memories that I cannot afford to call.

Olfactory liqueur invoking the souvenirs of glories undimmed, a sillage of chypres meets the golden might of amber and musks.

Velvet gloves and silken ties, it is love pouring out - tied onto me.”

If a bracelet were to speak, what words would it utter ?

If longing had a voice, what would it sing ?

Such was the spark that blasted a jolt of encounters and ideas culminating in the collaboration of Christine Nagel and Benoist Lapouza with the legendary perfume designer Serge Mansau.

Three voices altogether giving birth to an olfactory experience, crafting the invisible feeling of a loved one’s touch still present after his or her departure.

An olfactive trap set in a golden case : a bracelet and a fragrance enclosed therein. An evocative blend of amber, musk and lush wood tones, an olfactory liqueur invoking the souvenirs of glories undimmed, a sillage of chypres meeting the golden might of amber and musks trapping love over and under your skin and whispering : ATTACHE MOI

ATTACHE-MOI + THE FILM

A man and a woman in evening dress lie in bed talking in the sort of intimate, vaguely adversarial way. Their subject is a foreign name, "ATTACHE-MOI," evidently a perfume. He contends the name makes little sense. And then, just to be really irritating, that he also hates perfume. She, of course, knows better.

The short film was selected for the 2011 A Shaded View on Fashion Film Festival and was screened at Paris’ Centre Pompidou and at Miami’s Basel Art Fair.

ATTACHE-MOI

Ten phonemes, assembled,
disturbed by a line.
Standing still, indifferent.
Ten letters without movement.
Full stop
Yet content can be suggested.
Receiving meaning by the “Object” who defines it.
Subjective value.
A glass capsule encloses its content.
The content reminds me of Amber.
Evocative.
A Woman and a Man,
somewhere,
breathing.
Still.
Musk and lush wood tones,
improve the game.
As a whole,
tangled up.
Silence remains,
without reasoning.

"Even if you're not looking for love, these sumptuous scents will get you in the mood. Or even if you're not looking for love, these scents signal that sexiness is innate."
